Chairman's Message

Education isn’t just about learning how to read and write at school. It’s about gaining the knowledge and the skills needed to better ourselves and the world we live in. It helps us to grow personally, professionally, socially and constantly thrust us to become better versions of ourselves. It broadens our perspectives also. Children have to be educated, but like Ernest Dimnet had said they also have to be left to educate themselves. The greatest purpose of education is to replace an empty mind with an open one.

Here at St. Mary’s Orthodox School Kanpur, we provide the exact ambience to the children for holistic development. Under the able leadership of the Principal, Vice Principal, dedicated Teachers and other staff members we impart quality education to the children with most modern smart class rooms, labs, library etc. Through NCC, Quizzes, seminars, workshops, cultural activities, sports and other co-curricular activities our students are well nurtured.

I take this moment to thank Our Diocesan Metropolitan H. G. Dr. Youhanon Mar Demetrios for his continuous guidance, all our former Chairmen, Principals, Teachers and all our staff members who had toiled hard till now to keep the name of this institution bright. With a legacy of 41 years in the field of education we move forward in the path shown to us by our visionary forefathers.

May God Almighty strengthen and bless us all to keep this journey brighter and brighter.
