Rules & Regulations
Procedure of Admission
- Both boys and girls are eligible for admission.
- Age of admission in Nursery class shall be 3 years plus as on 1st April.
- The academic session begins in the month of April and ends in March. The school prospectus along with the application form can be obtained from the school office in the month of December on all working days during office hours between 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Admission form duly filled in should be submitted in the school office well before the due date along with the following documents :-
(a) A photo copy of the birth certificate from Municipal Corporation. (alongwith original for verification)
(b) One recent passport size photograph of the child (coloured).
(c) A photocopy of the latest progress report of the child if he/she has been attending any school (alongwith the original for verification)
(d) Voter ID Card/ Aadhar Card of parents (mother and father).
(e) Occupational proof of parents.
(f) A transfer certificate from his/her previous school must be submitted to the school, before the child is admitted.
- In the Pre-primary (PG & Nursery) the child will be assessed on the basis of interaction with the Principal.
- Students from Class LKG to IX and XI will have to appear for Entrance Examination in English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science & G.K. to qualify for admission.
- The first list of selected candidates along with the waiting list (if any) will be put on the school notice board.
- Parents will be intimated of dates to come with original documents and get their documents verified if necessary.
- Admission will be confirmed only after assessing the child written test, a personal interview with the parents and no. of seats available in the class for which admission is sought .
- All admission formalities is to be completed within three days of confirmation of admission. No donations is accepted.
- Management reserves the right to refuse any application for admission without assigning any reason for such refusal.
- All admissions remains provisional till the completion of all admission formalities.
- All those who pass the ICSE / Council Exam do not automatically qualify for admission to class XI. The criteria laid down for admission to different streams in class XI should be met. The eligibility of candidates who have been awarded pass certificate in an equivalent examination conducted by another board will be decided by the head of the school/ council. The admission will be considered provisional till the declaration of the result and Pass Certificate.
Withdrawals
- All requests for Transfer Cerficate must be sent in writing and duly signed by the parent/guardian one month in advance.
- Tuition fee for the whole academic session will be charged in case of withdrawal in the middle of the session or before the end of the final term.
- No Transfer Certificate will be issued unless all dues are paid in full.
- A fee of Rs. 50/- will be charged for a Transfer Certificate.
- If a student is continuously absent for a period of ten days without any prior intimation to Principal, his/her name will be struck off from the Attendance Register.
- The original security slip is to be produced at the time of leaving the school for refund purpose
Examination and Promotion
- There will be regular tests and Terminal Examinations.
- The Two Terms will be as follows :
Ist Term April - September
IInd Term October - March
- To pass in any subject a student must secure an average of 40% marks.

Promotion of a student from one class to another is determined on the basis of his/her total performance during the entire session and due credit is given to the continual assessments and examinations.

Promotion from a lower class to higher class will be decided on the average of minimum 40% marks of I and II Terminal Examinations.
- No provision can be made for supplementary tests for a student who is absent for any of the assessments.
- There is no arrangement for re-examination or promotion on trial for a student, who has failed in his/her promotion record.

Students who absent themselves for any test or examination, shall not be given any rank/grade.

Disciplinary action including expulsion will be taken against any pupil who is found to be using unfair means in the examinations.

The systems of evaluation for the board classes (ISC,ICSE) shall be as per the council guidelines. The students are expected to score atleast 40% marks in all the tests / exams / practical / internal assessment etc.

It will be compulsory for students of ICSE & ISC to take the pre board examination.

The assessment made by the teachers and checked by the Principal, is fair and shall be final. No representation with regard to promotion will be entertained. Promotion once refused will not be reconsidered, and no interviews will be granted on this matter.
The Principal reserves the right to refuse admission to any student whose character, conduct & academic performance is not satisfactory.
School Diary
Every student must have his/her own school diary and must bring it to school daily for taking down daily home work and other instruction from the teachers.
Uniform
All students must come to school in clean, tidy and proper uniform every day.
Summer
- White Shirt with school monogram(for all)
- Navy Blue Shorts for boys (Classes I to V)
- Navy Blue Full Pants for boys (for class VI onwards)
- Navy Blue Skirt, White hair band for girls up to class VIII
- Salwar Kurta for girls (Class IX onwards)
- (Kurta-Navy Blue & Salwar-White & Duppatta White (with school monogram)
- School Tie, School Belt, White Socks & Black Leather Shoes with laces.
Winter
- Navy Blue sleeveless 'V' Necked Pullovers, Navy Blue Blazers for both boys and girls with school monogram and Navy Blue Cap (Optional) and White Leggings(for Girls).
For Wednesday & Celebrations / Inter School Events
- White Full Pants (for boys)
- White Shirt with school monogram (for all)
- White Skirt (divided skirt for girls. Class VI to VIII)
- White Ribbon (for girls)
- White Canvas Shoes (for all)
- School Belt, School Tie, White Socks. (for all)
Note : No uniform for Play Group & Nursery)
House T-Shirts for classes I to XII on Saturdays
- Gandhi House - Yellow
- Shastri House - Blue
- Nehru House - Red
- Tagore House - Green
Students of Class IX and above should have White Laboratory coats for practicals.
School Monogram, Tie, Belt and Diary will be provided by the school on payment.
Attendance
- Students are not granted leave of absence unless their parents send an application in writing for the same.
- If a student falls ill, it should be informed to the Principal at the earliest and entered in the leave of absence record of the school diary & a medical certificate duly attested by a registered medical practioner is to be provided..
- Late comers will not be admitted to class, unless they bring a written excuse in the late attendance record.
- If a student is not having a minimum of 75% attendance, he/she will not be allowed to appear in the final examination.
Cleanliness
Special care is taken to keep the school premises clean, tidy and attractive. Scribbling on the walls, desks and books is strictly forbidden and any student indulging in such malpractices is liable to be fined to compensate the loss and make good any damage done to the school furniture, apparatus or building.
Private Tuitions
Private Tuition for the school students by the school teachers is strictly prohibited.
Parent-Teacher Meeting (Open House)
To facilitate good rapport between the parents and teachers, provision is made for parent-teacher meetings every month. Parents are expected to attend them regularly.
Schedule of payment of Fees
The school charges an annual fee, which is divided into quarterly installments for convenience but must always be paid in advance.
- The fees must be deposited (after the admission of the child has been confirmed) as per the rules and regulations laid down in the Fee remittance book.
- Tuition fees & D.A. are charged for all the twelve months of the year.
- All dues must be cleared before a student is admitted for the terminal examinations.
- Defaulters are liable to be refused entry to classes and those with one month in arrears will have their names struck off the rolls and are re-admitted only on payments of all dues with one month's tuition fee as re-admission charges, provided the seat is vacant.
- If a receipt book is lost, Rs.25/- will be charged for issuing a new book. No reduction, refund or remission of fee may be claimed on account of holidays or absence due to illness or any other reason.
General Regulations
- Students are prohibited to go out of school premises during school hours and lunch hour without the permission of the Principal.
- Students are responsible for their belongings and the school cannot be held responsible for their jewelry, books, money etc. lost by them.
- Speaking in any other language except English is strictly forbidden in school premises.
- Disobedience and misbehavior towords staff memebers or repeated breaking of school rules or damaging the school image, even outside the school premises will cause severe punishment or even dismissal if warnings are ignored.
- Immorality, bad conduct, grave insubordination, contempt of authorities or willful damage to property is always a sufficient reason for immediate dismissal.
- Exemption from Games/PT or any other school activity is only on medical grounds, supported by a medical certificate, countersigned by the Principal.
"Parents Guardians and Pupils must be fully acquainted with the rules and regulations of the school. Ignorance of these will not be accepted as a valid reason."
